Concrete House in Ubatuba

By SPBR Arquitetos in Ubatuba, Brazil.

The design of this house came about in response to the steep 50% site and the trees which are protected by environmental law. The House rests on three columns made of reinforced concrete. These were constructed using sliding forms. Four steel beams rest on top of these columns letting the slabs hang below. This also allowed them to bypass the use of support frames during the construction process saving time and money.
