Shell Residence
Shell Residence (2008) in Karuizawa, Japan designed by Kotaro Ide of ARTechnic Japan.
Due to the harsh environment, building decay was a major design issue. Therefore, the building was lifted off of the ground and built out of reinforced concrete.
